Cordon Street Scholarship (NC Society Daughters of the American Revolution)
Criteria:
-Must be attending a 2-year or 4-year college or university
Amount: $2,000

North Central District Extension and Community Association Scholarship
Criteria:
-High School Senior planning to attend an accredited North Carolina school
-Preference is given to students planning to pursue a degree in family and consumer sciences
Amount: $800
Deadline: February 15, 2019 (to the Surry County NC Cooperative Extension)
 
North Carolina Scholarship for Children of Wartime Veterans
Criteria:
-Must be a qualifying natural or adopted child of certain class categories of a deceased, disabled, combat, or POW/MIA veteran.
-Veteran parent must have been a legal NC resident at the time of entrance into service.
Amount: Up to cost of attendance
Deadline: February 14, 2019
 
Flavorful Futures Scholarship
Criteria:
-High School Senior
-U.S. Citizen or permanent legal resident
-At least a 2.5 unweighted GPA
-Enroll in an accredited U.S. institution in Fall 2019
Amount: $5,000

Edward M. Armfield Scholarship
Criteria:
-High School Senior planning to attend college
-Completion of the FAFSA (financial need is considered)
Amount: Varies based on cost of school
Deadline: February 22, 2019 (Noon)
 
Foundation for Rural Services Scholarship
Criteria:
-High School Senior
-US Citizen
-At least a 2.0 GPA
-Interested in returning to a rural community following graduation from college
Amount: $2,500

Golden LEAF Scholarship
Criteria:
-High School Senior
-NC Resident
-Have financial need as determined by the FAFSA
Amount: $3,000/year
Deadline: March 1, 2019
 
Army ROTC Scholarship
Criteria:
-U.S. citizen between 17 and 26
-At least a 2.5 unweighted GPA
-At least a 19 on the ACT or 1000 on the SAT
-Attain minimum score on the Army Physical Fitness Test
-Accept a commission and serve in the Army on Active Duty or in a Reserve Component
Amount: Up to cost of attendance
Deadline: March 4, 2019
 
Surry County Retired School Personnel Scholarship
Criteria:
-High School Senior planning to attend Surry Community College
-Preference given to students planning to enter the education field
Amount: $1,200
Deadline: March 25, 2019

SECU People Helping People Scholarship
Criteria:
-High School Senior planning to attend one of the 16 UNC system schools
-2.5+ unweighted GPA
-Current member or child of a current member of the State Employees' Credit Union
-Preference given to students whose parents are public sector employees
-Preference given to students who plan to major in public service programs
Amount: $2,500/year

Criteria:
-High School Senior planning to attend college
Amount: $3,000

Criteria:
-High School Seniors who plan to enter into an Emergency Services curriculum
Amount: $2,000

Fisher-Matthews-Misenheimer "Spirit to Learn" Scholarship
Criteria:
-High school senior who plans to attend college and has faced exceptionally difficult personal and/or family circumstances.

Bob R. McGuire Memorial Scholarship
Criteria:
-High School Senior planning to attend college
-North Carolina Resident
-At least one parent must be a member of the NC Child Support Council or a client of the Child Support Program through Child Support Services or Clerk of Court services.
-Must have at least a 2.0 GPA
Amount: $1,000

Alpha Theta Scholarship
Criteria:
-High School Senior interested in entering the field of Education
-Must be attending an accredited 4-year college/university
