*Beginning with the 2018-2019 9th grade class, all MAHS students will be required to complete a 4-course sequence in a CTE area or a Fine Art.
 
UNC Minimum Admission Requirements
Students planning to attend a 4-year college/university upon graduation must successfully complete the above requirements AND:
  • 2 units of the same World Language
  • An advanced Math course beyond Math 3 (i.e. NC Math 4 or Honors Pre-Calculus)
CTE Concentrator Requirements
Students are recognized as CTE Concentrators upon completion of a 4-course sequence in a particular career cluster. At least 3 courses must be Foundation Courses, and 1 of the Foundation Courses must be a Level 2 course.  The fourth course may be an Enhancement Course or an additional Foundation Course.

North Carolina Academic Scholar Requirements
Students who fulfill the following requirements will be recognized as NC Academic Scholars:
  • 3.5 Unweighted GPA
  • Completion of the UNC Minimum Admission requirements (see above)
  • Completion of Chemistry or Physics
  • 4 electives forming a concentration in a CTE Career Cluster or other subject area
  • 2 additional honors or AP credits
  • Completion of a graduation project
