Larry Davis Retires

While Davis is working the final week of his educational career with Mount Airy City Schools, he is finishing on a high note. The famously known “Red Green Report,” also known as the Technical Skill Attainment Performance Report, has just been released ranking Mount Airy first in the region and eighth in the state.

2020 China Trip Update

Mount Airy High School and Mount Airy City Schools will always make decisions with the safety of our students as our top priority.  With that being said, due to the impact of the coronavirus in China, we have made the decision to cancel the trip to Chengdu, China for March 2020.

Important Upcoming Dates for Seniors!

Class of 2020, mark your calendars for the following important dates:
* March 31st is the deadline to pay your $50 senior fee
* April 1st we will distribute caps, gowns, and tassels in the media center during YES time. Your $50 senior fee must be paid in order to receive them
* April 9th @ 9:30 am is the Capping Ceremony in the MAHS gym

Senior Fee due by March 31st

Each senior is required to pay a $50 senior fee to cover the cost of their cap, gown, tassel, diploma, and diploma cover. Pay Mrs. Tucker by cash or check (payable to MAHS) by March 31st.

Youth Risk Behavior Survey

Mount Airy High School students who are in the 9th and 11th grades will be surveyed the week after spring break regarding risk behaviors. Survey questions are available here.

Rising Freshman Information Night

There will be an information session for families of rising 9th-grade students on Tuesday, March 3rd at 6:30 in the Mount Airy High School Media Center/Blue Bear Cafe. In this session, we will discuss graduation requirements, high school pathways, class registration, and other information that will help rising 9th graders get off to a great start at MAHS!
